Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Wellington Terrace in Fergus on Tuesday July 26, 2022, in her 94th year. Arlene is at last reunited with her beloved husband, Roy (1997). Cherished mother of Brenda Rooney (Dan) of Elora and Tom Bridge (Linda) of Guelph. Proud grandmother of Amy Murray (Chris), Leah Valedis (Cary) and Jenna Devenney (Joe Schaefer), great-grandmother of Will, Gabe, Ella, Macy, Cameron and Grayson, and step-gg of Brandon and Danielle. Predeceased by her sister, Betty Sobol. Arlene was born in Hythe, Alberta to Harry and Evelyn Mitchell. Visitation will take place on Wednesday August 10, 2022 from 10-11am at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM. A luncheon will be held upstairs at the Funeral Home from 12-2pm, immediately following the Funeral Service. A private interment will be held for family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wellington Terrace in memory of Arlene, and are greatly appreciated by her family.
