It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Frances Margaret (Ball) Thomas in her 81st year. Fran passed away peacefully on July 6th 2022, with her family by her side at St. Joseph Longterm Care home. Loving wife of Glandon Thomas for 61 years. Loving mother to Kathleen (Darrick) of Rockwood, Bonnie (John) of Rockwood and Sharon (Wendell) of Kirkland lake. Loving Grandmother to Emily, Jessica, Wyatt, Morgan and Kayla. Loving Great grand mother to Claira, Kali, Lola and Piper. Fran was born and lived in Mimico, Ontario where she met her husband Glan. They moved to Mississauga and had three children. Later moving to Wales in 1972 where Fran received her Aesthetician license. Fran moved back to Canada with her family in 1981. Fran was then employed at the University of Guelph in 1982 where she worked in the Horticultural department as an Administrative Assistant for 22 years. After retiring Fran and Glan became Snowbirds and expanded their love of playing golf. We will miss Fran’s constant smile that we all know so well and Fran’s soft and loving demeanour. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Memorial donations made to Lewy Body Dementia would be welcome.
