In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us. (Eph. 1:7,8a)
Heaven is a place of perpetual blessedness. Its citizens are always happy, living under the benefits and advantages that God confers and the favour that he bestows. These benefits are supreme, and they are without end.
The Lord, who is the environment of Heaven, is my endorsement and support. It is his presence here that brings me happiness. He constitutes my welfare. He is my well-being. He is my place of confident victory where I receive everything in abundance. It is here in him that I live in a glorified state, totally accepted by God, fully complete in all matters and full of life. Here all things work out for my benefit and God’s glory.
Here I have varied and unrestricted supplies, so that I can help anyone at any time, because I have more than enough. I never want for anything in Heaven, for everything here exists in large amounts. The concepts of poverty and barrenness are unfamiliar here. Natural resources are plentiful, and the land is rich in abundance and productivity. If I need it to rain, there is abundant rainfall. If I need food, there is always more than enough. When I dig, I always strike gold. When I sow, I am guaranteed an abundant harvest.
In Heaven all my enterprises turn out as they are designed to turn out. Work is for the common good and its products are shared by all. Blood, sweat and tears never go unrewarded. There is always something to be proud of at the end of the day. There is always something significant to show for every pipe fitted, every nail driven, and every road travelled.
I can’t wait!
But wait!
While I await the full revelation of God’s glory in Heaven, the favour and abundant blessing that exists in Heaven is also being manifested in me and in my world – as it is in Heaven.
Just look around!
