ABOYNE – Now home to the Wellington County Museum and Archives, The Poor House is a National Historic Site, originally built in 1877 as a place of refuge for the poor, homeless and destitute people of Wellington County.
Now’s your chance to tour the halls and learn about the history of the building.
Hear staff and resident stories, learn about social expectations of the time and more.
Tours begin July 2 and will run 1 to 2pm every Saturday through July and August. No pre-registration is required.
