ELORA – After many months without live music due to the pandemic, people can once again look forward to an evening out with Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra (EVO).
The Guelph band returns to Elora for one performance at the Elora Legion on May 28.
The four-piece group comprised of Stu Peterson, Jim Duffield, Kerry Mullen, and Matty Cooper has packed venues across southwestern Ontario, including the CN Tower Restaurant, Revival in Orangeville, Sugar Run in Kitchener, Red Brick Café, Manhattan’s Bistro, and Music Club.
Playing high energy swing, jump blues and dance-hall standards and styles from the 1920s to the 1950s, Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra’s music reaches audiences in a way that gets people dancing, singing along, and calling for more.
The quartet features saxophones, piano, guitar, drums and upright bass, with true three-part vocal harmony all decked out in fancy shoes and crisp button-downs.
Eclectic Vinyl Orchestra has become the dance-hall band people will travel to see.
Since introducing themselves to the Centre Wellington area in 2016 at a benefit show at the Elora Centre for the Arts, they have developed a loyal following, and added new fans after every event.
EVO will perform May 28 at the Elora Legion, 110 Metcalfe St. Elora. Doors open at 7:30pm with EVO taking the stage at 8pm.
Tickets are $15 in advance (ticketscene.ca) and $20 at the door.
