GUELPH – Hospice Wellington is happy to announce registration for the 18th annual Hike for Hospice Wellington is now open.
“We can’t wait to see you back and in-person,” Hospice Wellington officials stated.
The annual hike will be taking place on June 5 at Riverside Park in Guelph from 11am to 2pm.
All other event details can be found on the Hospice Wellington event website at hikeforhospicewellington.com.
Hospice Wellington encourages participants to start gearing up their teams to participate.
“Hike for Hospice is a community event that helps Hospice Wellington raise critical funds to support people with a life-limiting illness, their families, and all going through the grieving process in our community,” officials say.
“We hope you are excited to join us once again, set up your campaigns and/or teams, and join us for this exciting and meaningful event.”
This year, Hospice Wellington will continue to provide a virtual option for individuals or teams to participate if preferred.
Those who choose to partake in the virtual option can gather donations and hike at a location of their choosing. They should not register for the event at Riverside Park, officials note.
The Hospice Wellington Hike User Guide and Information Package outlining all of the details on how to set up campaigns, teams and what to do to be a part of the in-person event can be found on the website.
“Our events continue to be a driving force behind helping us maintain our Hospice Residence and Community Supports,” officials note.
“On average we require over 60% of our funding to come from fundraising sources. We rely on donations, sponsorship, and our community to help support our events.
“We would love for you to join us for this year’s exciting event.”
Hospice Wellington is committed to improving the lives of the region’s most vulnerable citizens at one of life’s most complex moments, officials say.
