Community Dance Project calls for participants

GUELPH – Guelph Dance is looking for an intergenerational cast to participate in a dance project that will culminate in three performances as part of the Guelph Dance Festival in the Park series June 3, 4 and 5.

For those who enjoy moving or communal artistic practice, this project is for you, officials say. All you need is the desire to be part of something special, an interest to meet new people, and the availability to attend all the necessary rehearsals and performances.

Details can be found on the Guelph Dance website.

Officials note that those interested will need to be available for all rehearsals and performances.

Imprint, choreographed by Meredith Thompson, will be presented at the Guelph Dance Festival on June 3, 4 and 5 and Guelph Dance is looking for an intergenerational cast of up to 40 movers, ages 8 years and older.

There is no audition process. Those interested in participating can email Meredith Thompson at meredithjthompson@gmail.com or join a Guelph Dance Curiosity Session.

Imprint was first commissioned by Dusk Dances and premiered at Dusk Dances Withrow Park in August of 2019.
