CENTRE WELLINGTON – As Ontario enters the next phase of provincial reopening, township facilities will re-open to the public and resume additional services for the community.
The Victoria Park Seniors Centre, Fergus Grand Theatre and the Fergus Fire Station are now open to the public.
The Elora municipal office and the Pilkington office will re-open on March 1.
“We have always ensured that the health of our residents and staff are a priority,” said Mayor Kelly Linton.
“It is encouraging to see our collective efforts assist in lifting some restrictions and bring us closer to a return to normal life. Thank you to our staff for continuing to pivot during these extraordinary times.”
Proof of vaccination with an enhanced vaccine certificate with QR code is currently required for entry into some township facilities but it will no longer be required to enter any township facilities beginning March 1.
All patrons must continue to wear a mask and adhere to all public health guidelines while inside.
Although the Elora municipal office will be open to the public, appointments will be required for cemetery services, marriage licenses, planning and building applications to ensure staff are able to assist in a timely manner.
