LAW, Irene (nee Baynton) (Thring)

June 18, 1924 - January 24, 2022

Irene Law passed away peacefully in her sleep, on January 24, 2022, in her 98th year, in Kelowna, BC. She will be missed by her seven children Diane (Sam) Morden, Carol Endrizzi, Sharon (Ray) Thring, Patricia Faulconbridge, Fred Thring, Alan Thring, and Craig (Karen) Thring; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. Those who went before her include her first husband Willard Thring (d.1983); second husband Lloyd Law (d. 2016), and her great-grandson Mason Wietzke (d. 2010). Born in Piapot, Saskatchewan, as a child Irene relocated to Ontario. She eventually married Willard Thring and they raised their seven children on their farm near Rockwood.  In 1977 Willard and Irene retired to Kelowna, BC. Irene enjoyed traveling the world, time spent at the Rutland Senior Centre where she attended weekly dances and carpet bowling. She also entertained friends with card games and crib, as well as hosted large family dinners throughout the years. Anyone that met Irene loved her sense of humour and constant smile. She always looked amazing in her stylish clothing, jewelry, and fancy shoes. The family would like to thank Sun Pointe Village staff where Irene resided for seven years before moving to the Spring Valley Care home where she spent her last year being cared for by the amazing staff. A celebration of life will be held at a later date (summer 2022). Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.springfieldfuneralhome.com
