Free program provides small to medium-sized farmers opportunity to turn recipes into retail-ready product

Do you operate a small to medium-sized farm operation?

A 10-class program could help you to turn your food product into retail-ready product.

Provided free-of-charge by the Waterloo Region Small Business Centre, Woolwich Township, and Wellington-Waterloo Community Futures, the program will provide the knowledge, skills, and networking opportunities to turn recipes into retail-ready products with classes touching on topics such as food science, sanitation and food safety, food packaging and nutrition labeling, branding and the art of pitching.

Participants must be a resident of the Region of Waterloo or Wellington County and only 20 seats are limited 20 seats are available.

Applications are open until Feb. 2.

The program begins Feb. 15 and runs until March 17.

Classes run two-and-a-half hours in duration.
