CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Elora Sculpture Project is a seasonal, outdoor exhibition running from May 15 to Oct. 15.
The project’s committee is now inviting submissions for 2022. Eighteen sculptures will be selected by a jury and installed throughout the downtown core of Elora and Fergus.
Submissions are open to artists at any stage or their career working in Canada. Any media suitable for outdoor exposure may be considered.
Since its launch in 2010 the project has showcased local artists as well as those from throughout Ontario.
In 2020 and 2021 many other exhibitions were cancelled and artists from across Canada began to apply. Being outdoors and spread throughout the community, the project is able to proceed largely unaffected by public health measures.
Artists may offer their works for sale and 2021 recorded the most sales from a single exhibition to date.
The deadline for submissions is Jan. 15. Full submission guidelines can be found at www.elorasculpture.ca/submissions.html.
