Metis artist adds installation piece, part of Hope and Healing Canada at museum gates

Art installation – Métis artist Tracey-Mae Chambers wove an installation piece as a part of Hope and Healing Canada, a series of site-specific art installations created with red yarn, at the Wellington County Museum and Archives on Nov. 19, where it remained on display at the museum’s front gates until Nov. 29.

The site-specific art installation speaks to the connection between people and their environment and promotes dialogue between Indigenous, Inuit, Metis peoples and settlers, according to the artist.
