CAMBRIDGE – Effective Monday, Nov. 15, the rare Charitable Research Reserve will be closing four of its trails to the public.
The Osprey Tower, River, Woodland, and Alvar Trails branching off from the Grand Trunk Trail towards the Grand River are being shut in preparation for the winter, to maintain public safety, and to protect local wildlife near the Grand River.
The seasonal trails will reopen on March 15, 2022.
The rare Charitable Research Reserve is an urban land trust and environmental institute in Waterloo Region and Wellington County, with its seven locations protecting over 1,200 acres of environmentally sensitive lands.
