Cherished father of Rita and Ed Koster of Floradale, Linda and John Drost of Listowel, Anne and John Stevens of Elora, the late Gerard (2010) and Bernice (2017) Hoftyzer, Cheryl and Tim Mulder of Listowel and Yvonne and Jeff Van Soest of Hensall. Dear grandfather of Mark and Ashley Koster, Rachel and Ryan Roth, David and Amanda Koster, Cindy and Mark Brown, Ed and Lauren Koster, Bradley and Tara Koster; Angela Watters, Dianne and Nathan Norris, Julie Drost, Kyle and Adrienne Drost, Valerie and Joel Leis; Scott and Tory Stevens, Robyn Stevens, Tony and Clare Stevens, Jeff Stevens; Darryl and Jenn Hoftyzer, Michelle and Mike DeWeerd, Krista and Rob Scholten, Robert and Nicole Hoftyzer; Lucas Mulder, Brittany and Martin Van Zandwyk, Lauren and Tyson Rumph, Zachary and Hannah Mulder, Jessalynn Mulder; Brock Van Soest, Connor Van Soest, Brady Van Soest, Curtis Van Soest. Lovingly remembered by his 42 great grandchildren. Brother of the late Bert (2021) and Margaret Hoftyzer of Belleville, the late John Hoftyzer (2019), Dora and Hilbert DeBoer of Trenton, Bill Hoftyzer of Belleville, the late Johanna Hoftyzer in infancy, the late Johanna and Orvis Scott, Alida and Albert Dreise of St. George, Gerard and Lilly Hoftyzer of Frankford, Albert and Tina Hoftyzer of Frankford. Fondly remembered by the Rhebergen sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Family and friends were received at the Drayton Christian Reformed Church, 88 Main Street East, on Sunday, November 7, 2021. The funeral service was held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11:00am followed by interment in Drayton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers and as expressions of sympathy donations to Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Community Christian School would be appreciated by the family.
