Helping out – Blessings to You co-chairs Linda Wright and Deanna Martin present a cheque for $2,000 to Heather Bults, president of Big Brothers Big Sisters of North Wellington (BBBSNW).
The donation will provide services to help children in northern Wellington, after more than a year of pandemic restrictions where BBBSNW’s regular fundraising efforts were unable to go forward.
Blessings receives donations of clothing and smaller household goods from the public, sells them at very low prices in the volunteer-run thrift store and returns all profits after operating expenses back into the local community.
