Father of Donna and Michael Berta of St. Mary’s, Dwayne Dickert of Carrick Twp., and Dr. Erika and Andrew Spek of Manitoba, and father-in-law of Braun Povelofskie of Williams Lake, B.C. Grandfather of Michael, Dr. Rachael (Peter), Alicia (James), Samantha, George (Brittany), Tyler (Alexis), Brandon, Kasey, Robin, and Bill, and great-grandfather of Simon, Sadie, Sean, Emily, Matthew, Benson, and Ryan. Brother of Norma Karl of Hanover. Predeceased by daughter Pamela Povelofskie, grandson Jonathon Berta, brothers Elmer Dickert, Vernon Dickert and Walter Dickert, and sisters Ruth Scott, and Audrey Heimbecker. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Sunday, July 25 from 2:00 to 4:00pm. A private family funeral service was held at the funeral home on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00am. Pastor Jody Rinas officiated. The funeral was live-streamed. Interment in St. James Lauderbach Lutheran Cemetery, Normanby Township.
