of Palmerston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the age of 81 years. Beloved wife and best friend of Jerry Luesink. Dear mother of John & Ronda Luesink of Stratford, Joyce Luesink of Kingston, Jeff & Maddy Luesink of Naramata, B.C., and Jim & Jenn Luesink of Guelph. Tina’s pride and joy were her 4 grandchildren, Krista, Tim, Hadley and Coen, and her 4 great-grandchildren Hunter, Raelyn, Emilia, and Watson. She will also be missed by her brothers-in-law Ben Luesink, and Albert (Ruth) Luesink, sisters-in-law Gerda Luesink, Annie Hobelman, and Sharon Hobelman, as well as many nieces and nephews both in Canada and the Netherlands. Predeceased by her sisters Jannie Ten Hoopen, and Ricky Luesink, brothers Gerry Hobelman, and John Hobelman, and by her infant daughter Diane. Tina was born in the town of Zelhem, in the province of Gelderland, in the Netherlands. She emigrated to Canada in May, 1956 at the young age of 16, with her family. On July 27, 1962, she married Jerry Luesink. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Tuesday, July 27 from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The funeral service was held at Palmerston Evangelical Missionary Church on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at 10:00am. Pastor Phil desJardine officiated. The service was live-streamed and the link available on the funeral home website. Interment in Palmerston Cemetery. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
