Peacefully on Sunday, July 25th, 2021 at the age of 72. Cherished husband of Daphne Rappard. Loving father of Todd Armstrong (Victoria MacAskill) and Kevin Armstrong. Dear grandfather of Lars and Sutter. Survived by his brother Bill (Eleanor) Armstrong, sisters-in-law Marion (Tjebbe) Jaeger and Renée Nunan-Rappard. Bob will be missed by his extended family, including his nephews, nieces, and Amanda Zmija. Predeceased by his brother John “Jack” Armstrong and brother-in-law Tom Nunan. An avid outdoorsman, mentor, and keeper of trails and ducks, his legacy will outlast him for many years, tempering the effects of cancer, Parkinson’s, and dementia in later years. A come-and-go informal gathering will be held at the Cork Street Pavilion, Mount Forest, on Friday, July 30th, 2021 from 3:00-5:00pm. COVID protocols will be in place and mask wearing is encouraged. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider Make-A-Wish Canada, Mount Forest United Church-Green Team (local tree planting) or Ducks Unlimited Canada.
