TORONTO – Visiting restrictions in congregate care settings, such as residences for adults with developmental disabilities, residences for children in care or with special needs and women’s shelters, are being eased by the province with the July 16 advance into step three of its reopening plan.
“As we cautiously reopen the province, we know how important it is for people in congregate care settings to spend time with their loved ones outside of care settings, where they can share activities and special moments together,” new social services minister Dr. Merrilee Fullerton was quoted as saying in a July 15 press release.
Outdoor and indoor visits are now permitted for any visitors along with recreation, physical contact and overnight stays away from residence.
