WINNIPEG – The third issue of Sciences Mag Junior was released last week by La Liberté with the theme teamwork against the coronas.
The issue, geared to children and youth, explains how a vaccine works, how variants appear, and the importance of collective immunity.
The magazine takes a “playful and educational tone,” officials say and makes use of associate professor of immunology Jean-Eric Ghia for scientific direction.
In a press release, editor-in-chief Sophie Gaulin said the Canadian magazine has reached far and wide during the pandemic – especially as it has gone digital.
“Not only have these magazines allowed La Liberté to go beyond Manitoba’s borders, but the quality of our scientific and educational content has shattered Canadian borders,” Gaulin states.
“It is also wonderful to imagine how this third issue will contribute to a better understanding of the history of medicine, and how it will allow readers to identify the most advanced public health issues.”
The magazine is free and available online in both French and English at la-liberte.ca.
