CULP, Cynthia Diane (Cindy)

of Elmira and formerly of Drayton passed peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday June 27, 2021 at the age of 54. Cindy was the youngest daughter of Russell (2006) and Anna (2008) Culp. Cindy was always happy and full of the most genuine hugs, if she met you once you were her friend for life. ‘I know you’ followed by a giggle was Cindy’s best line. Cindy defied all odds and lived a full, happy life, inspiring others more fortunate. In her younger years she was often hanging out at the local arena cheering on her brothers and their teammates, in her later year she was an Elmira Sugar Kings fan. Fan, was not a strong enough word for the relationship Cindy had with Wrestling, she was obsessed and loved a good smackdown. Cindy loved to bowl, swim, attend Friendship and was proud to worship at her Church when she lived in Drayton. Cindy attended Guiding Light school in Elmira and later Elmira District Secondary School where she was a friend to all. Cindy’s is survived by Isabel Grose of Drayton; Don and Jane Culp of Drayton; Judy and Ted Watt of Arthur; Stewart and Nita Culp of Drayton; Cathy Culp of Kitchener; Rob and Kelly Culp of Drayton. Predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law Phyllis (1998) and Doug (2002) Groshaw. Cindy was special to all her nieces and nephews. Jeff, Jim & Liz, John & Shelley and Jan Grose; Terri & Bert Miller, John & Karen, Tom and Dwayne & Katy Groshaw; Brad and Steve Culp; Chris & Angie, Nick, Lisa Culp & Jerry; Roxanne & Bill Hostrawser, Charlotte, Rhonda & Dave and Glenn & Lenette Watt; Kassi Culp, Teszalyn & Mike Roantree and Daphne Culp. Cindy was a legend to many great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. Cindy will also be missed by her care givers, staff and other residents at Elmira and District Community Living. The family would like to specifically thank Heather Cadeau, Louise Ellis and Phoenix Hahn for all the love and support they have provided Cindy over her 16 years living in the Brooklyn wing of the ALC. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Elmira District Community Living. A private family celebration took place Saturday July 3rd, 2021. The service will be video taped and a link will be posted at www.heritagefuneralhomes.ca under Cindy’s notice.
