GUELPH – Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public health has announced changes to vaccine appointments scheduled for today (July 6) at the West End Recreation Centre in Guelph.
In order to ensure vaccines can be safely delivered throughout the summer months (especially during extreme heat events), the West End Recreation Centre is undergoing urgent changes to its air conditioning system.
As a result appointments scheduled on July 6 from 9am to 11am at West End Recreation Centre in Guelph will now be held at 160 Chancellors Way, Guelph ON (The WDGPH Guelph Office). Vaccine appointment times will remain the same.
Anyone with an affected appointment is being contacted by Public Health by either text or email.
There is no change to appointments scheduled for after 11am. These appointments will still be held at West End Rec Centre.
Anyone who cannot make their scheduled appointment at the new location should call 1-800-265-7293 ext. 4020 or email access@wdgpublichealth.ca to reschedule their appointment to the next available and convenient option.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” public health officials state in a July 5 press release.
