Guelph man charged in relation to indecent act at Guelph Lake

Police believe there may be more victims in June 9 incident

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – A Guelph man faces several charges, including sexual assault, in relation to an indecent act committed earlier this month at Guelph Lake.

Wellington County OPP officials say the incident occurred at the Grand River Conservation Authority property on June 9 between 3 and 5pm.

“It was reported that the victim was sitting on a secluded beach when she was approached by an individual who engaged in an indecent act,” police stated in a June 30 press release.

Karl Victor Janzen, 50, of Guelph was charged with sexual assault, committing an indecent act and breach of probation.

“Investigators believe that there are more victims,” police stated.

Janzen was previously charged with sexual assault in 2013 in Guelph.
