Passed away at Derbecker’s Heritage House at the age of 89 years on June 22, 2021. Survived by his children Kim Hollingshead (Wayne), Kathy Lewis and his brother Ron (Shirley) Lewis. Predeceased by his wife Blanche and his children Karen and Wayne. Loving grandpa of Matthew Hollingshead (Jean Hopkins), Ian Hollingshead, Amanda Lewis and Andrea Lewis. Great grandpa to Margo Hopkins. Fond uncle of Cheryl, Diane and Steve. Special uncle to David and Terri and their family Sarah, Emily, Brett, Madison and Dayva. Dudley was a founding partner of Lewis Tool & Die, founded in 1964 and is still operating over 55 years later. Dud could build just about anything. He built many boats throughout his life, enjoying countless hours on the waters of Georgian Bay. Upon his retirement, Dud took up woodcarving. Dud’s eccentric streak showed itself in the creation of exotic animals gifted to family and friends. His love of carving filled his home and ours with many creatures. Some of the items he made were canes, boxes, cutting boards, birds, fish and mythical creatures. Dudley is now at peace and no doubt cruising the heavens. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Please check the funeral home website for further details. Memorial donations to the Guelph Humane Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family. Online donations and condolences can be made at www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
