WELLINGTON COUNTY – Leaf and yard waste collection is coming up for urban residents in Minto, Centre Wellington (east of Highway 6), Wellington North and Puslinch on May 25.
County officials are asking that leaf and yard waste be at the curb by 7am on May 25. Collection will continue throughout the week until all material is collected.
Leaf and yard waste set out after 7am may not get collected.
User pay garbage bag(s), blue boxes, and green bin should be placed at the curb by 7am on your regularly scheduled collection day.
Some acceptable leaf and yard waste materials include leaves, twigs, small branches no more than 92 cm (3 ft) in length and 8 cm (3 in) in diameter, garden trimmings, and fallen fruit and nuts from trees.
Do not include plastic planter pots, plastic bags, grass clippings, large branches, soil, or sod.
Leaf and yard waste must be in brown paper yard waste bags or in reusable cans clearly marked “yard waste.”
Small branches may be in tied bundles. Loose materials, or materials in plastic bags, will not be collected.
