Dear Editor:
Re: Mapleton Township water issues.
Do we as taxpayers not pay for staff to maintain and monitor our water systems?
Why do we need to bring in a consulting firm to make a report on issues at theses places?
Is there any accountability for the maintenance staff we as taxpayers employ for letting these stations get so far in neglect?
It’s about time we get what we supposedly pay for. When did routine maintenance take a back seat to let it rot and we will just put new in?
It’s getting ridiculous the amount of tax dollars wasted. Every time I open the paper it’s “we hired a third party to do a report on this and that.”
And now the taxpayers get to shell out $1.8 million because the routine maintenance hasn’t been done for years on end?
