Shelburne man charged in break-in at ex’s place
WELLINGTON NORTH – On March 6 at about 2:30am Wellington County OPP responded to a break-in at a house on Wellington Road 109 west of Arthur.
Police say the suspect entered a residence through an unlocked door and fled the scene after confronting the female victim in a bedroom.
“The suspect and the victim were previously in a relationship together,” police stated in a press release.
“The suspect was also bound by a release order with a condition not to have contact with the victim.”
A 29-year-old Shelburne resident has been charged with break and enter, criminal harassment and failing to comply with an undertaking.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear at a later date in Guelph court.
Break-in, stolen cards
GUELPH-ERAMOSA – On Feb. 3, Wellington County OPP responded to a report of a break-in at a residence on Speedvale Avenue here.
Police say that sometime during the day, suspect(s) broke into the victim’s home and stole several items including, jewelry, electronics, and credit cards.
“The victim later discovered that their stolen credit cards were used at several businesses within in the City of Guelph,” police stated.
Police attended the involved businesses and obtained video footage of the suspects committing the crimes. As a result of investigation, Wellington County OPP arrested two suspects on March 4.
Candiss A Pettitt, 37, of Guelph, was charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime (under $5,000) and four counts of using a stolen credit card.
Krystal Ann Bowman, 34, of Guelph, was charged with three counts of using a stolen credit card.
They are to appear in Guelph court on April 6.
