WELLINGTON COUNTY – Residents of all three northern Wellington municipalities can now watch their local council’s video-conference meetings online, at their convenience.
The Township of Mapleton announced on Jan. 15 that council meetings are now being recorded and uploaded to the township’s YouTube account after each meeting.
A link to the Jan. 11 meeting can be found at https://youtu.be/UCyKKh5swKQ.
The Town of Minto and Township of Wellington North have both been posting video recordings of their meetings to YouTube since the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Citizens can also follow the meetings in real time by following instructions posted with the agenda on local municipal websites.
Minto had been recording and posting council’s in-person sessions for some time, while Wellington North and Mapleton had both purchased equipment and were preparing to do so when pandemic restrictions forced councils to begin meeting remotely.
