Our dad Wray German, 81, of East Garafraxa, passed peacefully in his sleep on January 11, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Dad spent 37 years with CN Freight, first as a brakeman then as a conductor. His dedication and commitment to his work was also reflected in his role as a loving husband of 48 years to Marie Antoinette (Toni), and father to daughter’s Tracy, Jodie-Ann, Kacey and grandfather to Rowan. He greatly enjoyed his involvement in the Belwood Lions Club, and believed in helping and giving back to his community. When not tending to the horses on the family farm, he could be found sitting with one of the family dogs watching one of his two passions, baseball and horse racing, the latter which stemmed from the years he and our mom bred and raced Quarter horses. He will live forever in our hearts and memories and will be greatly missed. Due to Covid restrictions, a family only celebration was held on Saturday, January 16th, at 1pm at The Graham Giddy Funeral home 280 St. David Street South in Fergus, Ontario. If you choose, a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario would be appreciated. We hope to celebrate dad’s life when restrictions are lifted.
