MAPLETON – In response to the emergency declaration and stay-at-home order issued by the province on Jan. 12, Mapleton Township is closing its municipal office to the public.
Previously, the office south of Drayton was open by appointment only, but with people required to work from home when possible, the township is no longer offering that option.
“The Township of Mapleton has ensured that public safety is their top priority throughout the entire COVID-19 pandemic,” states a Jan. 13 press release from the township.
“Therefore, the Township of Mapleton administrative office will be completely closed to the public.
“Staff will be able to be reached through email and through the municipal phone system at 519-638-3313.”
