Scott Kelby’s 6th Annual Worldwide Photo Walk is the world’s largest global social photography event in the history of photography itself.
The event takes place on the same day around the world as photographers of all walks of life and skill levels gather together, usually in downtown areas to socialize, learn new tips from each other, and explore their corner of the world through photography.
In 2012, there were 1,300 walks with more than 32,000 photographers joining in. Over 10 million photographs were taken in the one single day that wouldn’t have been taken otherwise. There is no fee to participate. Just go and sign up at www.worldwidephotowalk.com to register and find Fergus on the global map and join in on the fun.
Anyone can participate. A camera and a passion for photography is all that is needed. It doesn’t matter what kind of camera is used.
Photo Walk will take place on Oct. 5 from 1 to 3pm.
The local meeting place will be the Fergus Marketplace parking lot by Mulligan bridge, 105 Queen St. W. The event will end up at the Goofie Newfie Pub & Grill for food and refreshments,105 Queen St.W.
