PORT ELGIN – The 50th Annual Southampton Craft Show is gearing up to showcase over 120 vendors’ homemade crafts on July 4 at the Plex in Port Elgin beginning 10am and wrapping up at 6pm.
This show is a major fund-raiser for PRANCE, a non-profit, community-based therapeutic riding programme for disabled and challenged riders.
Proceeds support the programs to surrounding area communities.
The show was initially under the dedication and leadership of the local Women’s Institutes who started the show and worked very hard to pass along a great legacy to PRANCE.
Highlights of the 50th Annual event include over 120 exhibitors from all over Ontario showcasing their handiwork. Pottery, jewelry, paintings, fine woodworking & toys are just a taste of what will be on hand. Food court, pie booth, ATM on site.
Admission is $4 for adults, children under 10 are free.
PRANCE is a therapeutic equestrian program dedicated to the growth and development of people with physical, emotional or developmental challenges through volunteerism and community partnerships.
Its mandate is to work in conjunction with health care providers to assist in the rehabilitation and social development of people with developmental, physical and emotional challenges.
