The third meeting of the West Luther Vet Club was held on June 12 at Bill McCutcheons farm.
It was a joint meeting with the following clubs: the Dufferin Sheep Club and West Luther Sheep Club.
Dr. Paula Menzies taught members about sheep management and flock health. After that we were split into four groups.
The first group learned what to do to keep a lamb healthy when the mother can’t look after it. The second group was judging a sheep class.
The third group was with Dr. Paula Menzies and we learned what the ewe will look like when close to lamb.
The fourth group was with Dr. Ken Leslie and he asked members questions about sheep breeding and management.
The meeting ended with the 4-H motto.
