Meeting number one of the Mimosa Sewing with Fleece 4-H club was held on March 31.
With each member seated at their sewing machine station, the election of officers took place. Our club has two presidents, a secretary and one press reporter.
Members watched a video to help us locate and learn the parts of a sewing machine.
Members then tried sewing on sample paper with lines traced on it without any thread.
The next step was to sew some designs freely on fabric.
There were straight lines, wavy lines, triangles and circles. We are now ready to begin sewing our pillowcases next week.
