4-H: Sewing Club buys supplies

The 4-H Sewing Club met at Mary Fraser’s home on April 22 for our first meeting.

There were a few relatives of some members who were helping out by driving to the fabric store.

We introduced ourselves and held our elections. We talked about the different sewing instruments like: thimbles, needles, thread and more.

Members were then paired together and measured each other.

When we finished, we were driven to Len’s Mill Store in Guelph where we chose fabric for our pajamas and also we purchased things that we’d need for the pajamas and our sewing kits.

After, we wrote down the supplies that we’d need to bring for the next meeting, and we finished with our motto: “Learn to do by doing.”
