The fifth meeting of the Mimosa Poultry Club was held on Aug. 27.
Edward, our vice president acted as chairman. He opened the meeting with the pledge.
Presley acted as secretary and read the minutes of our last three meetings, which were all adopted as read. We then broke into pairs and built our show boxes. Since some members finished early, they painted and decorated their boxes. We also put several chickens in harnesses and had them practice some of our obstacles such as the high walk, the swing and the weaves. We got a lot done.
Thanks to our leader Leslie, who pre-cut all our show box materials, we were able to build a box for all our members who needed one. The meeting was closed with the 4-H Motto.
