4-H baking club news

The Centre Wellington 4-H Club, called the Best Bakeria, meets on Wednesday nights.

At the first meeting of the Best Bakeria, they baked carrot muffins, cinnamon rolls and pizza.  They talked about different kinds of flour, how to buy flour, store flour and leavening agents.

In the second meeting of the Best Bakeria, they baked blueberry pie, cherry pie and butter tarts.  They talked about different-coloured pans and to not play with the pie dough for too long.

In the third meeting, they baked cheesecake.  They talked about what you put in cheesecake and how much it costs to make a cheesecake.

In these meetings, members have learned how to bake many things and learned great tips and tricks.
