HOLSTEIN – The 30th annual non-motorized Santa Claus Parade was held in Holstein on Dec. 9. Overcast, rainy weather did not deter hoards of spectators from lining the streets in the small village for the annual seasonal spectacle. Santa Claus attended without his reindeer.
With Christmas right around the corner, the jolly fellow decided to give his hard working team a rest and took advantage of a little horse power instead. Horses of all sizes dominated the parade, but colourfully-dressed people, dogs, cats and even a sheep, rounded out the event.
