The James McQueen Bunny Breakfast will take place at James McQueen Public School on April 8, from 9 to 11am.
Now in its 22nd year, this Easter extravaganza is an event the whole family can enjoy, officials say.
Admission is $3 per person or $10 per family.
Start with the all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast (gluten free is available), cooked by school council in the Wellington County Museum and Archives’ kitchen.
After, there are fun activities for kids and the annual silent auction to visit.
Organizers say they have already received some great prizes, including a variety of passes (Puzzle Room, Highland Games, Sportsplex activities and Toronto Zoo), a Brew House on the Grand B&B package, photo shoots, gift cards, toys and baskets from local businesses.
The event is run by the James McQueen school council, with proceeds distributed on an annual basis wherever there is a need.
In 2015 and 2016, funds were invested in the playground rejuvenation project that parents had worked on for over two years.
“This year, one of our goals is to purchase age-appropriate updated reading materials for our English and French reading carts, in an effort to boost literacy,” said school council co-chair and event organizer Kimberly Saunders.
“The community that supports this event extends beyond James McQueen. We are very grateful for the prize donations and the wonderful community spirit we see here each year.”
