A traditional Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist here has been charged with sexual assault.
On Oct. 18, the Guelph Police Service commenced an investigation into sexual assault allegations against the owner of the “Centre of Integrative Natural Medicine,” which was located on Surrey Street in Guelph for over 20 years but moved about six years ago to Morriston.
On Oct. 31, Sherman Lai, 58, was arrested and charged with sexual assault against a former patient. Lai was released on a promise to appear in court on Dec. 5.
