HARRISTON - Good things are happening at the Harriston-Minto Fall Fair on Sept. 15, 16 and 17. In addition to new attractions, exhibits and trade show participants will be ready for viewing as usual Friday at 6pm.

Grains, Plains and Trains is the theme of the 2017 Palmerston Fair, Aug. 25 to 27. The fair officially opens at 7:30pm on Aug. 23 with the Ambassador of the Fair competition at the local community centre.

The third annual Harriston Street Party on Aug. 12 featured events for all ages. About 100 people enjoyed a local food dinner at the first Savour in the Street event and over 350 people attended an outdoor dance downtown in the evening.

Local youths vie for fair ambassador titles in Palmerston

PALMERSTON - Two contestants will vie for the title of ambassador of the Palmerston Fair in a competition on Aug. 23 at 7:30pm at the Palmerston Community Centre. Five contestants will also vie for the title of junior fair ambassador.

White’s Junction Trail bridge re-opened

MINTO - The White’s Junction Trail bridge between the 3rd and 5th Lines of Minto is open for use by pedestrians and cyclists, the municipality has announced.
