ERIN - A town consultant says subsurface disposal is not a viable solution for the treatment of wastewater in Erin or Hillsburgh.

Tire Take Back on May 23 to June 3

ERIN - Erin Auto Recyclers is taking part in the province-wide Tire Take Back campaign to raise money in support of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada, a Canadian organization that makes dreams come true for children with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.

Sherlock Holmes comes to Century Church Theatre

HILLSBURGH - Ken Ludwig’s new comedy, The Game’s Afoot, or Holmes for the Holidays will be opening at Century Church Theatre in Hillsburgh on May 26.

Rural break-in, theft

On May 8 Wellington OPP officers were dispatched to a break-in at a rural property on Wellington Road 23, near the village of Erin.

House damaged after fire

House damaged after fire

ERIN - A house on Wellington Road 26 in Erin was damaged after a fire that started in the kitchen area of the home. Erin, Hillsburgh and Rockwood fire stations were called to a structure fire at around 12:30pm on May 26. Erin Fire Chief Dan Callaghan said an Arthur Fuels worker elsewhere on the property saw the fire and called 911. “The worker probably saved the house because no one was home,” said Callaghan.
