Three local players win silver at Paralympics

GANGNEUNG, SOUTH KOREA - Canada’s Para Hockey team, including three local players, won a silver medal following a 2-1 overtime loss to the United States March 18 in Gangneung, South Korea. The team included defencemen Rob Armstrong and Brad Bowden and forward Bryan Sholomicki, all former Erin residents.

The third annual Wellington County OPP versus Erin District High School charity hockey game on March 8 at Centre 2000 raised money for East Wellington Community Services (EWCS). The organization supports people in both Erin and Guelph-Eramosa and runs the food bank, children and senior programs as well as community outreach.
