WELLINGTON NORTH

It should be all or nothing when it comes to council participation in community events or meetings, according to Wellington North councillor Dan Yake.
Although he later declined to comment on which issues or meetings prompted his comments, Yake said, “We, as a council, need to participate as whole ... whether it be a meeting or a community event.
“If we do not participate as a whole council, there is not much sense in participating at all.
“We’re councillors in this community. When certain things come up, we should support it together.”
