Erin wages hiked 3%

by Mike Robinson

ERIN

The decision to provide staff increases followed an in-camera meeting of council in mid-December.

The report stated the Erin wage and salary grid will be adjusted by 3% over 2011 and that the increase be effective as of Jan. 1, 2012.

The resolution passed in a 3-2 recorded vote, with councillors Barb Tocher, Deb Callaghan and John Brennan in favour of the move and Mayor Lou Maieron and councillor Josie Wintersinger opposed.
