Students meet challenges at Regional Skills Canada Competition

Showing their skills - About 375 Grade 7 and 8 students from 18 Wellington Catholic District School Board schools took over the Hanlon Convention Centre in Guelph on April 5 for the annual Regional Skills Canada Competition. The day’s competition included challenges in Lego robotics, Lego mechanics, TV video production, health and safety, technology, construction and green energy. The Regional Skills Canada Competition encourages students to apply science, technology, engineering and math skills to solve technical hands on tasks in a friendly competitive forum.
