Drinking and driving

GUELPH-ERAMOSA - On Nov. 24 at about 12:50am, Wellington County OPP officers responded to a single-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 51 here.

 

Police say officers arrived to find a vehicle had left the road and struck a culvert.

Angelia Hershey, 23, of Arthur, was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in her system. She is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 19.

GUELPH -  On Nov. 24 at about 1:35am, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on the Hanlon Parkway near College Avenue.

Police say officers spoke with the driver of a 2018 Hyundai Elantra and conducted a roadside screening device test.

Daniel Reynolds, 46, of League City, Texas, was charged with driving over 80mg and is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 22.

GUELPH -  On Nov. 25 at about 1:30am, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on the Hanlon Parkway near College Avenue.

Police say officers spoke with the driver of a 2007 Kia and conducted a roadside screening device test.

Sergio Falkenburger, 24, of Kitchener, was charged with driving over 80mg and being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol level above zero. He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 19.

WELLINGTON NORTH - On Nov. 25 at about 2:30am, Wellington County OPP was contacted about a possible impaired driver on Wellington Road 109 here.

Police say officers located the driver of a Chevrolet Traverse in a Tim Hortons parking lot and conducted a roadside screening test.

Armindo Medeiros, 48, of Brampton, was charged with driving over 80mg. He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 22.

PUSLINCH - On Nov. 25 at about 9:40pm, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a patrol on Lake Road here.

Police say officers stopped to speak with a driver of a 1999 GMC Jimmy parked on the side of the road and conducted a roadside screening device test.

Daniel Oakes, 60, of Copetown, was charged with care or control of a vehicle over 80mg. He is to appear in Guelph court on Dec. 22.

In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
