Children’s safety day on Oct. 14

WALLENSTEIN - The Wellington Farm and Home Safety Association is hosting a Safety Day geared toward children on Oct. 14.

The annual event is held in a different community each year, and this year it will be at ESM Farm Equipment in Wallenstein.

Children should register at 9:30am. Participants will visit different stations throughout the day learning about safety with electricity, large animals, bicycles and ATVs, fire and ambulance, small and large equipment, chemicals, and more.

A pizza lunch will be provided for all participants.

The day, which finishes at 2:30pm with goodie bags filled with information, is aimed at school-aged children and parents are welcome to stay as chaperones.

Organizers thanked businesses and organizations that contributed to this event.
