Basement Café series returns Oct. 14

HARRISTON - The boot-stomping three-piece band Thorn and Roses will be joined by local singer-songwriter Juanita Wilkins, who will make her long-awaited return to the Basement Café as the evening’s opening act.

Thorn and Roses is a three piece amalgamation of vocals and intricate instrumentation.

This trio features a blend of three part harmonies, arrangements of country, classic rock and pop standards, and an energy so abundant it promises to have audience members on their feet from the first note to the very last, officials say.

This trio features Linsey Beckett on fiddle and lead/background vocals, Janna Leduc on guitars and lead/background vocals and Jay Riehl on a simultaneous right-handed bass keyboard and drums, as well as background/lead vocals.

The Basement Cafe will take place at the Harriston library.  Advance tickets are just $20 (including unlimited tea or coffee).

Tickets are available in advance at Harriston Home Hardware or by calling 519-338-2497.
