The St. John Brebeuf boys soccer team went undefeated at the county soccer tournament in Fergus on Oct. 5. The team started its journey in the B Pool and played two hard games back-to-back against St. Mary, Elora and Sacred Heart, Rockwood. Officials say, the team communicated well both on and off the field and made it to the semifinals where it proved victorious against St. Mary, Mount Forest. The team then entered the final game against St. Joseph, Fergus; both teams had gone undefeated all day. In the first half of the final match the score was 0-0. St. John Brebeuf scored the first goal of the game in the second half and added a second goal minutes later. The Cardinals were up 2-0 and St. Joseph scored a goal during a penalty kick. The Cardinals won their final game 2-1. The boys led by example demonstrating great sportsmanship, communication and endurance, say officials.  Submitted photo
