Sensational event

Thanksgiving is a wonderful time to enjoy the sights and smells of the autumn season. For six years now Sensational Elora has presented a soup off where youth, professional and amateur soupers get together at the Wellington County Museum and Archives to offer homemade soup to the public. On Oct. 9, 18 soupers came out to display their wares, made with all sorts of ingredients such as pumpkin, squash, beets and seafood. Winners received a speciality soup spoon made by a local artist. All proceeds go to the local food bank and the high school food program. LEFT: These four CWDSS students show off their soups.
